Spain becomes the new European Champion for the 18th time. 2-1 the result of the Final

It is Spain to raise up the trophy for the 18th time European Champion. A double with the last edition of 2018, 9 in the last 11 editions. A very balanced final between Spain and France, decided in the second overtime just 2 and a half minutes from penalties, with a winning tap-in by Toni Perez.

France created the best chances from the net, finding an excellent Carles Grau to save everything possible. Bruno Di Benedetto unlocked the match but the draw came on penalty from another young player, Carballeira. But the overtime experience of Perez and much of Spain made the difference, despite a couple of counter-attacks not exploited by the French who still come out with their heads held high.

Best AZEMAD MVP player is the French Carlo Di Benedetto, also second best scorer of the tournament after Gonçalo Alves with 12, and the best AZEMAD MVP goalkeeper is Baptiste Bonneau, the french goalkeeper.

A final eve characterized by the cancellation of the match between Portugal and Italy, with both teams that do not show up on the rink caused by two Covid-19 positives in the Portuguese selection. As a precaution it was not played with great awareness of the two European teams.

The final of the 5th-6th place was also played in the afternoon where Andorra imposed itself with a decisive 5-1, the result of a high-level first half that surprised Germany that was no longer able to enter the game.
