Il Trissino conquista ai rigori l’Euroleague, vincendo per 7 a 5 contro il Valongo. La partita era terminata 4 a 4 al termine dei tempi regolamentari, coi due tempi supplementari a reti invariate. A passare per primo in vantaggio è il Valongo con Bridge, dopo 37 secondi. Il risultato resta invariato per 10 minuti. Il Trissino pareggia con Gavioli al 15esimo. 4 minuti dopo, Giulio Cocco non trasforma un tiro diretto ma costringe Morerira a commettere fallo. Questa volta Malagoli realizza su tiro diretto la rete del 2-1 veneto. Poco dopo Zampoli para il tiro diretto di Abreu. Il Valongo trova il pari con Barata, ed ad un minuto dalla fine segna la rete del vantaggio con Navarro su tiro diretto.
Nella ripresa è Malagoli a trovare il pari su tiro diretto, quando sono passati meno di quattro minuti. Pari che dura tre minuti circa, perché Bridge riporta in vantaggio i portoghesi. Al 35esimo Navarro non riesce a realizzare su tiro diretto. A 6 minuti dalla fine Zampoli para un tiro diretto a Navarro. Un minuto dopo Cocco firma la rete del pari. I tempi regolamentari finiscono 4-4. Si giocano i supplementari ma nessuna delle due squadre trova la rete. Ai rigori il Trissino realizza tre reti, il Valongo una. Trissino won the Euroleague on penalties, winning 7 to 5 against Valongo. The game had ended 4 to 4 at the end of regulation time, with the two overtimes with unchanged goals. Taking the lead first was Valongo with Bridge, after 37 seconds. The result remained unchanged for 10 minutes. Trissino equalizes with Gavioli in the 15th. Four minutes later, Giulio Cocco does not convert a direct shot but forces Morerira to foul. This time Malagoli scores on a direct shot for the 2-1 Veneto goal. Soon after, Zampoli parries Abreu’s direct shot. Valongo found the equalizer with Barata, and a minute from the end scored the go-ahead goal with Navarro on a direct shot.

With six minutes left Zampoli parries a direct shot to Navarro. A minute later Cocco signed the equalizing goal. Regulation time ends 4-4. Overtime is played but neither team finds the net. In penalties, Trissino scores three goals, Valongo one. Malagoli, Garcia and Cocco scored, for the Portuguese Navarro. Trissino thus clinches the Euroleague.
