L’Italia batte 3 a 2 la Repubblica Ceca e vola in semifinale ai World Games. Gli azzurri scenderanno in pista domani alle 15 locali contro gli USA, che hanno battuto 9 a 1 la Colombia ed hanno chiuso primi il girone. L’altra semifinale si giocherà alle 16 e 30 e vedrà la Repubblica Ceca affrontare la Francia, che ha battuto il Canada 4 a 2, ed ha chiuso il girone al secondo posto.
L’Italia passa in vantaggio con Davide Dal Sasso, quando sono passati un minuto e 24 secondi. Il risultato resta invariato fino a 7 e 30 dalla sirena, quando Jakub Bernad trova la rete del pari per la Repubblica Ceca. Il primo periodo scorre veloce, e senza penalità fischiate.
Nella ripresa l’Italia si riporta in vantaggio con Andrea Bellini, che trova il 2 a 1, quando sono passati 8 minuti e 11 secondi. Il vantaggio azzurro dura meno di due minuti: Elia Calore finisce in panca puniti ed i cechi, passati pochi secondi, pareggiano con Marek Loskot.
A 5 e 07 dalla sirena è l’Italia a poter sfruttare il power play, con Patrick Sebek che viene spedito in panca. Gli azzurri a 3 e 42 dalla fine, trovano la rete con Tobia Vendrame, su assist di Andrea Bellini, per il 3 a 2 azzurro. Finisce così: l’Italia trova la seconda vittoria ai World Games e vola in semifinale.

Italy beats the Czech Republic 3-2 and flies into the semifinals at the World Games. The Azzurri will take to the track tomorrow at 3 p.m. local time against the USA, who beat Colombia 9-1 and finished first in the group. The other semifinal will be played at 4.30 pm and will see the Czech Republic face France, who beat Canada 4-2 and finished second in the group.
Italy took the lead through Davide Dal Sasso, when one minute and 24 seconds had passed. The result remained unchanged until 7:30 from the siren, when Jakub Bernad found the equalising goal for the Czech Republic. The first period passed quickly, and with no penalties whistled.
In the second half, Italy took the lead with Andrea Bellini, who found the 2-1 when 8 minutes and 11 seconds had passed. The Italian lead lasted less than two minutes: Elia Calore ended up in the penalty box and the Czechs, a few seconds later, equalised with Marek Loskot.
At 5 and 07 from the siren it was Italy who could exploit the power play, with Patrick Sebek being sent to the bench.
