Schedule of Alps Hockey League, season 2022/23
Exactly one month before the start, scheduled for Saturday 10 September, the seventh edition of the Alps Hockey League, season 2022/23, is about to begin. 15 teams will take part in it: while Migross Supermarkets Asiago Hockey, VEU Feldkirch and the Vienna Capitals Silver will no longer be part of the league, a completely new team, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, has joined the transnational championship played between Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The competition calendar, for the 2022/23 season, initially includes 28 matches per team in the Regular Season. This will be followed by a Master and a Qualification Round before determining the new champion in the Playoffs.
Intermediate round starts on January 19th
In the Master Round, the best five teams after the Regular Season will fight for the best possible starting position for the playoffs. The remaining teams will play for pre-playoff spots in the Qualification Round, where the last three playoff tickets will be awarded. In both the Master and Qualification Round, a round robin will be played.
Playoffs in a “best-of-7” mode
The subsequent playoffs are scheduled to begin on March 7th. Both quarterfinals, semifinals and the finals will be played in a “best-of-7” mode for the first time. The champion of the 2022/23 season is to be decided no later than Saturday, April 22nd.
Main match days remain Thursday and Saturday
As in previous seasons, Thursday and Saturday will be the main match days of the Alps Hockey League in the upcoming season. For logistical and infrastructural reasons, “road trips” are also set for the upcoming season, which means that some games will also be played away from the main match days. The final start times will be announced soon.

Il calendario
Ad un mese esatto dal via, previsto sabato 10 settembre, la settima edizione dell’Alps Hockey League, stagione 2022/23, sta per iniziare. 15 le squadre che vi prenderanno parte: se la Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, il VEU Feldkirch ed i Vienna Capitals Silver non faranno più parte della lega, una squadra completamente nuova, l’Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, si è unita al campionato transnazionale che si gioca tra Italia, Austria e Slovenia. Il calendario delle sfide, per la stagione 2022/23, prevede inizialmente 28 match per squadra nella Regular Season. Seguiranno un Master ed un Qualification Round prima di determinare il nuovo campione nei Playoff.
Dopo che tutte le partecipanti della AHL si saranno affrontate due volte nella Regular Season, inizierà il girone intermedio, composto da Master e Qualification Round.
Il girone intermedio inizia il 19 gennaio
Nel Master Round, le migliori cinque squadre dopo la Regular Season lotteranno per la migliore posizione di partenza possibile per i playoff. Le formazioni rimanenti giocheranno per i posti pre-playoff nel Qualification Round, dove verranno assegnati gli ultimi tre biglietti per i playoff. Sia nel Master che nel Qualification Round si giocherà un round robin.
Playoff in modalità “best of 7” per tutta la loro durata
L’inizio dei successivi playoff è previsto per il 7 marzo. I quarti di finale, le semifinali e le finali si giocheranno per la prima volta in modalità “best-of-7”. Il campione della stagione 2022/23 sarà deciso entro sabato 22 aprile.
Le giornate di gioco principali restano il giovedì ed il sabato
Come nelle stagioni precedenti, il giovedì e il sabato saranno i giorni di gara principali della Alps Hockey League nella prossima stagione. Per motivi logistici e infrastrutturali, nella prossima edizione sono previste anche ” più trasferte”, il che significa che alcune partite si giocheranno anche al di fuori dei giorni di gara principali. Gli orari di inizio definitivi di ogni singolo incontro saranno annunciati a breve.
