Argentina in finale, l’Italia a caccia del bronzo ai World Skate Games 2022
Finisce 4 a 1 la sfida con l’Argentina che conquista così la finale, mentre l’Italia andrà a caccia del bronzo ai World Skate Games 2022. Gli azzurri restano in partita fino alla fine, ma trovano solo una rete merito anche di un Acevedo insuperabile. L’Italia affronterà domenica, alle 22 italiane, la Francia. La finale, in programma alle 24 e 30 italiane, vedrà affrontarsi Argentina e Portogallo.
Le squadre giocano fin da subito a ritmi alti. Al 4 e 50 Federico Ambrosio colpisce il palo con una conclusione da distanza ravvicinata, l’Argentina torna in possesso della pallina e sfiora la rete con Alvarez, ma Gnata non si lascia sorprendere. Al 9 e 32 è Gavioli a non riuscire a sorprendere Acevedo. Al decimo Pascual scivola male sulla pista e s’infortunia, per lui frattura della tibia e del perone. Nascono delle proteste che comportano un cartellino blu ad Ipinazar e Romero, ed uno rosso ad un membro dello staff argentino: le squadre giocano in 3 vs 3 per due minuti, e poi gli azzurri avranno 4 minuti di superiorità numerica. L’Italia in 5 contro 4 mette sotto pressione gli argentini e sfiora la rete in diverse occasioni. Acevedo però risponde sempre presente. L’Argentina regge bene l’inferiorità numerica ed appena tornata in parità si fa subito pericolosa ma Gnata è ben attento. Le squadre aumentano il ritmo e vanno vicine entrambe alla rete. Al 5 e 23 Cocco commette fallo e si prende un cartellino blu: tiro diretto che però Ordonez fallisce. Al 3 e 51 l’Argentina trova la rete del vantaggio con un tiro dalla distanza di Romero. L’Italia cerca subito di reagire, ma è l’Argentina a sfiorare ancora la rete. A 7 secondi dalla sirena rigore per gli argentini che Romero trasforma. 2 a 0 e squadre negli spogliatoi.
Passano 1 e 35 dall’inizio della ripresa e l’Argentina trova la terza rete con Ordonez che segna un bellissimo goal e supera Gnata. L’Italia si fa avanti ma è l’Argentina a sfiorare la rete in contropiede con Romero che però non riesce a sorprendere Gnata. Al quinto minuto è Banini ad andare vicino alla rete. Gli azzurri aumentano la pressione ma concedono spesso pericolose ripartenze agli argentini. Al 12esimo Gnata salva su Romero, poco dopo una ripartenza pericolosa di Giulio Cocco. L’Italia cerca la rete ma Acevedo è sempre ben attento. Anche Gnata salva i suoi sui contropiedi pericolosi argentini. A 2 e 47 dalla fine Giulio Cocco segna la rete del 3 a 1. Passa poco ed Alessandro Verona colpisce il palo dalla lunga distanza. Nell’ultimo minuto l’Italia toglie il portiere per un quinto uomo di movimento, ma in attacco commette fallo. Viene espulso Giulio Cocco. A 36 secondi dalla fine tiro diretto per l’Argentina che Nicolia realizza.

The Azzurri stayed in the game until the end, but found only one goal, thanks also to an insuperable Acevedo. Italy will face France on Sunday at 10pm Italian time. The teams play at a high tempo from the outset. At 4:50 Federico Ambrosio hit the post with a close-range shot, Argentina came back into possession and came close to scoring with Alvarez, but Gnata was not surprised. Argentina coped well with the numerical inferiority and as soon as they regained parity they immediately made themselves dangerous but Gnata was very careful. The teams increased the pace and both went close to scoring. On 5:23 Cocco commits a foul and gets a blue card: a direct shot that Ordonez misses. On 3:51 Argentina found the lead with a shot from the distance by Romero. Italy immediately tried to react, but it was Argentina that came close to scoring again. At 7 seconds from the siren a penalty for the Argentinians that Romero converted. 2-0 and teams in the locker room.
It was 1:35 from the start of the second half and Argentina found the third goal with Ordonez who scored a beautiful goal and beat Gnata. Italy came forward but it was Argentina who came close to scoring on the counter-attack with Romero who, however, failed to surprise Gnata. In the fifth minute it was Banini who went close to scoring. The Azzurri increased the pressure but often conceded dangerous counter-attacks to the Argentinians. In the 12th minute Gnata saved on Romero, shortly after a dangerous restart by Giulio Cocco. Italy looked for the net but Acevedo was always very careful. Gnata also saves his side on dangerous Argentine counter-attacks. With 2:47 to go Giulio Cocco scored the 3:1 goal. A little time passed and Alessandro Verona hit the post from long distance. In the last minute Italy took off the goalkeeper for a fifth man of the match, but in attack committed a foul. Giulio Cocco was sent off.
