Italy beat Serbia and Denmark at the EuroHockey Indoor Championship III in Cyprus. In this morning’s match, the Azzurri beat Serbia 20-2. Italy then won 6-3 against Denmark, thus consolidating first place in the group. The last match against Ireland is scheduled for tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. Italian time.
Against the Danes, the match was only unblocked in the second quarter: Pagliara scored on a penalty corner to give the Italians a 1-0 lead. The Danes, however, replied three minutes later with Moller. The beginning of the third quarter was all Italian: goals by Sior, Succi, Ughetto and Muzzioli, the latter on a penalty corner, fixed the result at 5:1. In the 53rd minute Hansen scored 5:2, followed a minute later by Muzzioli for 6:2.
