Playoff Alps Hockey League 2022/23: i Red Bull superano i Cavaliers
Al termine dell’unica partita di gara 1 dei quarti di finali di Alps Hockey League 2022/23, disputata questa sera, i Red Bull superano i Cavaliers per 5 a 0 e si portano avanti nella serie. Domani le altre tre partite: si giocherà a Jesenice, Renon e Cortina.
I Red Bulls sono partiti meglio e sono passati in vantaggio all’ottavo minuto: gli altoatesini non sono riusciti a far uscire il disco dalla propria area e Daniel Assavolyuk ha aperto le marcature da distanza ravvicinata. Con un tiro dal cerchio di sinistra Philipp Wimmer (17°) ha trovato il raddoppio prima del primo intervallo. Dopo la ripresa, gli ospiti hanno concesso tre penalità nel giro di sei minuti e per due volte gli Juniors hanno sfruttato l’uomo in più. Oskar Maier, al 23esimo, ha trovato il terzo gol, seguito a breve distanza dal gol di Jakob Weber.
I Cavaliers non hanno sfruttato due power paly, ed il punteggio è rimasto sul 4:0 dopo 40 minuti. Nell’ultimo periodo, Aljaz Predan ha segnato il gol finale. Gli Juniors si sono così portati in vantaggio nella serie “best-of-7” dei quarti di finale. La seconda partita si disputerà giovedì ad Egna.
Alps Hockey League 2022/23 Playoffs: Red Bulls overcome Cavaliers
At the end of the only game of game 1 of the quarterfinals of the Alps Hockey League 2022/23, played this evening, the Red Bulls overcome the Cavaliers 5-0 and move ahead in the series. Tomorrow the other three games will be played in Jesenice, Renon and Cortina.
The Red Bulls got off to a better start and took the lead in the eighth minute: the South Tyroleans failed to get the puck out of their own area and Daniel Assavolyuk opened the scoring from close range. With a shot from the left circle Philipp Wimmer (17th) found the double before the first intermission. After the restart, the guests conceded three penalties within six minutes and twice the Juniors took advantage of the extra man. Oskar Maier found the third goal in the 23rd minute, followed shortly by Jakob Weber’s goal.
The Cavaliers failed to exploit two power-pales, and the score remained at 4:0 after 40 minutes. In the last period, Aljaz Predan scored the final goal. The Juniors thus took the lead in the best-of-7 quarter-final series. The second game will be played on Thursday in Egna.
