WSE Champions League 2022/23: i derby italiani della penultima giornata
Domani si torna in pista per la penultima giornata di WSE Champions League 2022/23, con le squadre italiane che si affronteranno nei due derby di ritorno dei Gironi B e C. Al PalaTerzi di Sarzana, inizio ore 21, arriva il Trissino, neo vincitore della Coppa Italia, mentre in contemporanea l’Amatori Wasken Lodi ospiterà al PalaCastellotti la GDS Impianti Versilia Hockey Forte.
I rossoneri, ormai fuori dalla qualificazione alla Final Eight di Viana do Castelo in Portogallo ad inizio maggio, cercheranno di sbloccare lo 0 in classifica, mentre i blucelesti vorranno vincere per poi giocarsi il primo posto in casa contro il Porto il 13 aprile, nell’ultima match del girone. All’andata a Trissino finì 7 a 3 per i padroni di casa. Alle 20 il Porto ospiterà il Noia.
Lodi-Forte è una sfida che entrambe vorranno vincere: i versiliesi per tenere aperta la loro qualificazione mentre Lodi ha l’ultima vera chance di rimontare in classifica. I giallorossi, per passare il turno, dovrebbero vincere i due incontri e sperare in due sconfitte di Valongo e Forte. Nella seconda giornata vinse il Forte per 3 a 2. Nell’altra sfida del girone il Barca affronta alle 20 il Valongo.
Nel girone A scontro diretto tra Benfica e Deportivo Liceo, coi padroni di casa primi in classifica, mentre l’Oliveirense ospiterà il Calafell. Nel girone D è ancora tutto aperto: la capolista Sporting affronterà il ST-Omer, mentre il Reus attende il Barcelos nell’incontro che mette in palio il secondo posto.
WSE Champions League 2022/23: Italian derbies on penultimate day
Tomorrow it’s back on track for the penultimate day of the WSE Champions League 2022/23, with the Italian teams facing each other in the two return derbies of Groups B and C. At the PalaTerzi of Sarzana, starting at 9 pm, arrives the Trissino, new winner of the Italian Cup, while at the same time the Amatori Wasken Lodi will host at the PalaCastellotti the GDS Impianti Versilia Hockey Forte.
The rossoneri, by now out of qualification for the Final Eight of Viana do Castelo in Portugal at the beginning of May, will try to unblock the 0 in the standings, while the blucelesti will want to win to then play the first place at home against Porto on April 13, in the last match of the round. In the first leg in Trissino it ended 7-3 for the hosts. At 8pm Porto will host Noia.
Lodi-Forte is a challenge that both will want to win: the Versiliesi in order to keep their qualification open, while Lodi has the last real chance to move up in the standings. The Giallorossi, to pass the round, would have to win the two matches and hope for two defeats by Valongo and Forte. On the second day, Forte won 3-2. In the other match of the round, Barca faces Valongo at 8pm.
In group A, Benfica and Deportivo Liceo face off, with the hosts first in the standings, while Oliveirense will host Calafell. In Group D, it is still wide open: Sporting take on ST-Omer, while Reus await Barcelos in the match for second place.
