Olympics.com will stream the 2022 World Games
Olympics.com will broadcast from The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, USA. The sports content hub of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will stream the competitions in 34 sports, (58 disciplines) from 7th to 17th July 2022. All highlights of the multi-sport event hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA) will be available world-wide on a permanent 24/7 channel and on up to eight parallel live streams.
The agreement with Olympic Channel Services (OCS) will see a comprehensive digital offering to stream the live action from The World Games 2022. This will be the second time the Games will be streamed on the platform, following its success in 2017.
This service is also available in the USA. Live streaming from The World Games will be embedded into the IWGA’s website theworldgames.org and the host city TWG2022.com. Users of the TWG 2022 app also have the option to watch the stream on their mobile device. However there are restrictions for countries where TV stations have acquired the rights to TWG 2022. Here, a so-called geo-blocking prevents transmission via the internet.
The signal for the video stream is provided by the host broadcaster ISB from Madrid. The high-class production uses olympics.com to provide comprehensive coverage of the eleventh edition of TWG. The live streams are each accompanied by English-language commentary. The live graphics, including virtual graphics for the first time for the TWG, are provided by IWGA partner Swiss Timing.

L’hub di contenuti sportivi del Comitato Olimpico Internazionale (CIO) trasmetterà in streaming le gare di 34 sport (58 discipline) dal 7 al 17 luglio 2022. Tutti i momenti salienti dell’evento multisport ospitato dall’International World Games Association (IWGA) saranno disponibili in tutto il mondo su un canale permanente 24/7 e su un massimo di otto live stream paralleli.
L’accordo con Olympic Channel Services (OCS) prevede un’offerta digitale completa per lo streaming delle azioni in diretta dei Giochi Mondiali 2022. Questa sarà la seconda volta che i Giochi saranno trasmessi in streaming sulla piattaforma, dopo il successo ottenuto nel 2017.
Il servizio è disponibile anche negli Stati Uniti. Lo streaming in diretta dei Giochi mondiali sarà integrato nel sito web dell’IWGA theworldgames.org e in quello della città ospitante TWG2022.com. Gli utenti dell’applicazione TWG 2022 hanno anche la possibilità di guardare lo streaming sul proprio dispositivo mobile. Tuttavia, ci sono delle restrizioni per i Paesi in cui le stazioni televisive hanno acquisito i diritti per la TWG 2022. In questo caso, il cosiddetto geo-blocking impedisce la trasmissione via Internet.
