The quarter-finals of the European U17 Championships in Spain kick off
From tomorrow, with the start of the quarter-finals of the European U17 Championships in Spain, it will be serious business. With today’s competitions, all the positions in the rankings have been defined. Tomorrow at 3 p.m. the knockout phase will begin with Italy-England, at 5 p.m. France-Germany, at 7 p.m. Portugal-Switzerland and at 9 p.m. Spain-Andorra.
The third day was the most spectacular and balanced, with many emotions starting with Andorra-Germany where the Germans won 5-1 (two goals by Kulmer), finishing third in their group. Very balanced was England-Switzerland, decided only in the second half thanks to the English goal, five minutes from the end. Two seconds from the end the English goalkeeper parried a penalty.
There was also much excitement between Italy-Portugal: two decisive goals (0-2) scored in 20 seconds in the first half by Costa and Preciso decided the match. The two goalkeepers in this match were the real protagonists. Also exciting was the last match where the hosts managed to get the better of France only in the second half thanks to Ortigosa’s double (2-4).

Al via i quarti di finale dei Campionati Europei U17 in Spagna
Da domani, con l’inizio dei quarti di finale dei Campionati Europei U17 in Spagna, si farà sul serio. Con le gare odierne sono state definite tutte le posizioni della classifica. Domani alle 15 inizierà la fase a eliminazione diretta con la sfida Italia-Inghilterra, alle 17 Francia-Germania, alle 19 Portogallo-Svizzera e alle 21 Spagna-Andorra.
La terza giornata è stata la più spettacolare ed equilibrata, con tante emozioni a partire da Andorra-Germania dove i tedeschi hanno vinto 5-1 (due gol di Kulmer), chiudendo terzi il proprio girone. Molto equilibrata è stata Inghilterra-Svizzera, decisa solo nel secondo tempo grazie a alla rete degli inglesi, a cinque minuti dalla fine. A due secondi dalla fine il portiere inglese ha parato un rigore.
Tante emozioni anche tra Italia-Portogallo: due gol decisivi (0-2) segnati in 20 secondi nel primo tempo da Costa e Preciso che hanno deciso la partita. I due portieri in questa gara sono stati i veri protagonisti. Emozionante anche l’ultima gara dove i padroni di casa sono riusciti ad avere ragione della Francia solo nel secondo tempo grazie alla doppietta di Ortigosa (2-4)
