Italia sconfitta dal Portogallo ai Campionati Europei U17 in Spagna
Nell’ultima partita del girone l’Italia esce sconfitta 2 a 0 dal Portogallo ai Campionati Europei U17 in Spagna. Gli azzurri chiudono il girone al secondo posto, e domani alle 15 affronteranno l’Inghilterra. La partita sarà trasmessa sul canale YouTube della FISR.
Parte forte il Portogallo che mette subito sotto pressione gli azzurri. L’Italia regge gli assalti lusitani, grazie anche alle parate di Mugnaini. Gli azzurri, dopo nemmeno quattro minuti, sono costretti a giocare in inferiorità numerica a causa del cartellino blu comminato ad Alessandro Uva. Il Portogallo prova a farsi pericoloso, ma Mugnaini è bravo a respingere i tiri avversari. Gli azzurri, superata indenne la prima penalità, commettono nuovamente fallo. Questa volta è Claudio Bracali ad accomodarsi in panca. Il Portogallo ottiene un tiro diretto che MaRtim Costa realizza. Passano 19 secondi e i portoghesi raddoppiano con Rodrigo Preciso, quando il cronometro segna 7 e 40. Gli azzurri nella seconda parte di frazione provano a farsi pericolosi, ma non trovano la rete. Si va negli spogliatoi sul 2 a 0 per il Portogallo.
Nella ripresa gli azzurri tornano in pista più organizzati in difesa e concedono poco ai lusitani. All’Italia però manca la precisione in fase offensiva. Sono diverse le occasioni create dall’Italia ma non sfruttate al meglio. Passata la metà del secondo tempo prima l’Italia, e poi il Portogallo, non sfruttano un tiro diretto. Le squadre giocano così in tre contro tre per quasi due minuti, coi portoghesi che hanno 20 secondi di power play in più. Le squadre si allungano e creano diverse occasioni, ma i due portieri salvano la propria squadra. Finisce 2 a 0 per il Portogallo.
Italy defeated by Portugal at the European U17 Championships in Spain
Italy were defeated 2-0 by Portugal at the U17 European Championships in Spain in the last match of the round. The Azzurri end the round in second place, and tomorrow at 15:00 they will face England. The match will be broadcast on the FISR YouTube channel.
Portugal started strongly and immediately put the Azzurri under pressure. Italy withstood the Lusitanian assaults, thanks also to Mugnaini’s saves. The Azzurri, after not even four minutes, were forced to play in a numerical inferiority because of the blue card given to Alessandro Uva. Portugal tried to make themselves dangerous, but Mugnaini was good at repelling the opponents’ shots. The Azzurri, having survived the first penalty unscathed, committed fouls again. This time it was Claudio Bracali who took a seat on the bench. Portugal got a direct shot which MaRtim Costa scored. Nineteen seconds passed and the Portuguese doubled the score with Rodrigo Preciso when the clock struck 7:40. The Azzurri tried to make themselves dangerous in the second half, but could not find the net. They went into the locker room 2-0 to Portugal.
In the second half the Azzurri returned to the track more organised in defence and conceded little to the Lusitanians. Italy, however, lacked precision in the offensive phase. There were several occasions created by Italy but not exploited to the best advantage. Halfway through the second half, first Italy, and then Portugal, did not take advantage of a direct shot. The teams thus play three-on-three for almost two minutes, with the Portuguese having an extra 20 seconds on the power play. The teams stretched and created several chances, but the two goalkeepers saved their team. It ends 2-0 to Portugal.
