Termina ai quarti di finale contro la Spagna il sogno dell’Italia femminile senior di conquistare una medaglia ai World Skate Games 2022, con le ragazze che ora andranno a caccia del quinto posto nella rassegna internazionale. Le iberiche superano 5 a 0 le azzurre, ed affronteranno la vincente tra USA-Colombia. L’Italia torna in campo domani, alle 11 locali, le 16 italiane, contro la perdente di USA-Colombia.
Dopo due minuti la Spagna si porta in vantaggio con Blanca Lopez che firma l’1 a o. Il raddoppio spagnolo arriva al settimo minuto con Ana Sierra Paredes. Passano 11 secondi e le iberiche trovano la terza rete con Anna Domenech Safont. Si va negli spogliatoi sul 3 a 0.
Al 2 e 50 della ripresa Blanca Lopez segna la rete del 4 a 0 per la Spagna. Al 12esimo Giulia Cipriano commette fallo e sia accomoda in panca puniti. La Spagna trova, sul finire della superiorità, la quinta rete con Alejandra Vallejo Castaño. L’Italia cambia portiera, fuori Aurora Benedetto, infortunatasi nell’azione, dentro Eugenia Pompanin. A cinque minuti dalla seconda sirena le azzurre possono provare a sfruttare il primo power play.
La Spagna concede poco alle azzurre, che non riescono a segnare. Tornate in parità numerica sono ancora le iberiche a commettere fallo e a concedere il secondo power play all’Italia. Finisce 5 a 0 per la Spagna.
Italy women will hunt for fifth place at World Skate Games 2022
Italy’s senior women’s dream of winning a medal at the 2022 World Skate Games ends in the quarter-finals against Spain, with the girls now hunting for fifth place in the international event. The Iberians beat the Azzurri 5-0, and will face the winner of USA-Colombia. Italy will be back on court tomorrow at 11 am local time, 4 pm Italian time, against the loser of USA-Colombia.
After two minutes, Spain took the lead with Blanca Lopez signing the 1-0. The Spanish double came in the seventh minute with Ana Sierra Paredes. Eleven seconds passed and the Iberians found the third goal with Anna Domenech Safont. It went into the locker room at 3-0.
At 2:50 of the second half, Blanca Lopez scored the 4-0 goal for Spain. In the 12th minute Giulia Cipriano committed a foul and was placed in the penalty box. Spain found, at the end of the superiority, the fifth goal with Alejandra Vallejo Castaño. Italy changed goalkeeper, out Aurora Benedetto, injured in the action, in Eugenia Pompanin. Five minutes from the second siren, the Azzurri could try to take advantage of the first power play.
