Si conclude con la sconfitta in finale contro l’Argentina il cammino dell’Italia U19, che si prende così la medaglia d’argento ai World Skate Games 2022. Gli azzurri giocano a viso aperto fino alla fine, ma sono gli argentini a vincere. La partita resta in equilibrio fino all’undicesimo del secondo periodo quando l’Argentina trova due reti ravvicinate che le garantiscono la vittoria. L’Italia prova a rientrare in partita, ma non ci riesce. Per gli azzurri è comunque una medaglia storica: per l’Italia infatti era la prima finale ad un campionato del mondo.
Passano tre minuti e Giuliano Giuliani porta avanti l’Argentina. Al 6:52 Liam Bozzetto trova il pari su tiro diretto. Ad 8:21 dalla fine del primo tempo Joaquin Olmos fallisce un rigore. A 25 secondi dalla fine del primo tempo tiro diretto per l’Argentina che Giuliano Giuliani non realizza. Al settimo della ripresa Joaquin Olmos porta avanti gli argentini. Passano meno di quattro minuti e lo stesso, Joaquin Olmos, firma il 3 a 1. Ad 11 e 27 Lucas Bridge trova la rete del 4 a 1 argentino. Gli azzurri provano a riaprire la partita ma non ci riescono. Finisce 4 a 1 per l’Argentina, che si laurea campione del mondo.

Italy U19 ended with a defeat in the final against Argentina, thus taking the silver medal at the World Skate Games 2022. The Azzurri played openly until the end, but it was the Argentinians who won. The match remained in balance until the eleventh of the second period when Argentina found two close goals that guaranteed them the victory. Italy tried to get back into the game but failed. For the Azzurri, however, it is a historic medal: for Italy, in fact, it was the first final at a world championship.

With 25 seconds left in the first half a direct shot for Argentina that Giuliano Giuliani does not score. In the seventh minute of the second half Joaquin Olmos put the Argentinians ahead. Less than four minutes passed and the same, Joaquin Olmos, signed the 3 to 1. At 11:27 Lucas Bridge found the goal of the 4 to 1 Argentine. The Azzurri tried to reopen the game but failed. It ended 4-1 to Argentina, who became world champions.
