L’Italia esce sconfitta per 9 a 2 dagli USA nel secondo incontro della Para Ice Hockey Cup 2022, in programma a Bridgewater, in Nuova Scozia (Canada), fino al 3 dicembre. I Dahuazzurri torneranno in campo il 30 novembre contro la Rep. Ceca alle 11 e 30 locali.
La partita si sblocca solo al decimo minuto quando gli USA si portano in vantaggio sfruttando il power play con Jack Wallace. Passano meno di due minuti e David Eustace trova il raddoppio. Ad inizio ripresa, dopo 50 secondi, Declan Farmer firma il 3 a 0. Poco più di un minuto e Evan Nichols cala il poker. Passano 68 secondi e Ben Musselman trova la quinta rete. Al sesto minuto Declan Farmer segna il 6 a 0. Negli ultimi cinque minuti gli USA trovano altre tre reti, grazie ala doppietta di Brody Roybal ed al goal di Kevin McKee.
Nell’ultima frazione il risultato resta invariato fino agli ultimi cinque minuti. Ben Musselman finisce in panca puniti e i Dahuazzurri possono provare a sfruttare il powerplay. Dopo 22 secondi dall’inizio della superiorità Nils Larch realizza il 9 a 1. Passano 13 secondi ed ancora Nils Larch firma la seconda rete azzurra. Finisce 9 a 2 per gli USA.
Italy defeated by Canada at Para Ice Hockey Cup 2022
Italy was defeated 9-2 by the USA in the second match of the Para Ice Hockey Cup 2022, scheduled to take place in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia (Canada), until 3 December. The Dahuazzurri will return to the field on 30 November against the Czech Republic at 11.30 a.m. local time.
The match was only unblocked in the 10th minute when the USA took the lead by exploiting the power play with Jack Wallace. Less than two minutes passed and David Eustace found the double. At the beginning of the second half, after 50 seconds, Declan Farmer signed the 3-0. A little more than a minute later and Evan Nichols made it four. Sixty-eight seconds passed and Ben Musselman found the fifth goal. In the sixth minute Declan Farmer scored 6-0. In the last five minutes the USA found three more goals, thanks to Brody Roybal’s double and Kevin McKee’s goal.
In the last fraction the result remained unchanged until the last five minutes. Ben Musselman ended up in the penalty box and the Dahuazzurri could try to exploit the powerplay. After 22 seconds from the beginning of the superiority Nils Larch scores the 9 to 1. 13 seconds pass and again Nils Larch signs the second Azzurri goal. It ends 9 to 2 for the USA.
