L’Italia U20 affronta la Corea del Sud al Mondiale di Bytom

Dopo l’odierna giornata di pausa l’Italia U20 affronterà domani, alle ore 13, la Corea del Sud nella terza partita del Mondiale IIHF di 1^ Divisione Gruppo B di Bytom, in Polonia, in programma dall’11 al 17 dicembre. Ieri gli azzurrini hanno vinto all’overtime contro il Giappone, grazie alla rete di Alessandro Segafredo, arrivata al 63:43. Dopo la nuova pausa di giovedì, l’Italia affronterà venerdì, alle 16 e 30, la Polonia, mentre sabato, alle ore 13, è in programma l’ultimo match contro l’Estonia.

Per gli azzurrini è stato un inizio di Mondiale in salita, con la sconfitta per 4 a 0 subita contro l’Ucraina, attualmente prima in classifica a punteggio pieno. I ragazzi di coach Giorgio De Bettin si sono però rifatti ieri, superando all’overtime il Giappone. Due punti guadagnati che portano l’Italia U20 al penultimo posto, con un punto in più sull’Estonia. La terza Corea ha, per il momento, un punto in più rispetto agli azzurrini. I prossimi avversari hanno vinto all’esordio battendo per 2 a 1 l’Estonia.

Nelle altre due sfide, che chiuderanno la terza giornata del Mondiale IIHF di 1^ Divisione Gruppo B di Bytom il Giappone, ora secondo, affronterà alle 16 la Polonia, attualmente quarta. Nell’ultimo incontro in programma domani la capolista Ucraina, finora imbattuta, sfiderà l’Estonia.

Italy U20s face South Korea at the World Cup in Bytom

After today’s break Italy U20 will face South Korea tomorrow, at 1pm, in the third match of the IIHF World Championship 1st Division Group B in Bytom, Poland, scheduled from 11 to 17 December. Yesterday, the Azzurrini won in overtime against Japan, thanks to Alessandro Segafredo’s goal at 63:43. After the new break on Thursday, Italy will face Poland on Friday at 16:30, while the last match against Estonia is scheduled for Saturday at 13:00.

For the Azzurrini it was an uphill start to the World Cup, with the 4-0 defeat against Ukraine, currently first in the standings with full points. However, coach Giorgio De Bettin’s boys made up for it yesterday, overcoming Japan at the overtime. Two points earned that bring Italy U20 to the penultimate place, with one point more than Estonia. Third-placed Korea have, for the moment, one point more than the Azzurrini. The next opponents won on their debut by beating Estonia 2-1.

In the other two challenges, which will close the third day of the IIHF World Championship 1st Division Group B in Bytom, Japan, now second, will face Poland, currently fourth, at 4pm. In the last match scheduled for tomorrow, the so far unbeaten Ukraine will take on Estonia.
