La Nazionale U17 Femminile in raduno a Valdagno per l’Euro Girls 2023
Questo weekend la Nazionale U17 Femminile sarà in raduno a Valdagno per preparare l’Euro Girls 2023 in Svizzera, un torneo internazionale riservato ai club ed a rappresentative nazionali nella categoria Under 17 Femminile. Dopo un primo raduno tenutosi il 14-15 Gennaio sempre a Valdagno (VI), 13 le atlete convocate, nate dal 2006 al 2008, le azzurre guidate da Massimo Giudice, già allenatore dell’Under 17 Maschile e Nazionale Femminile, si ritrovano.
L’Euro Girls 2023 si terrà dal 23 al 26 febbraio 2023 a Vordemwald, in Svizzera, un paese di 5000 abitanti situato tra Berna e Zurigo, dalle solide tradizioni di hockey pista femminili. Le sfidanti saranno i club spagnoli di Palau de Plegamans e Sant Just, e le nazionali di Italia, Svizzera, Germania ed Inghilterra.
Per l’Italia è l’occasione di continuare il progetto di consolidazione di una rappresentativa nazionale anche in questa categoria, radunando le migliori ragazze che sempre più stanno solcando le piste italiane sin da piccole. Nel 2021 la prima partecipazione azzurra all’ultimo torneo di categoria organizzato da World Skate Europe, dove l’Italia si classificò al quarto posto, dietro Palau, Mataro e Portogallo.
National U17 Women’s Team to meet in Valdagno for Euro Girls 2023
This weekend, the U17 Women’s National Team will be gathering in Valdagno to prepare for Euro Girls 2023 in Switzerland, an international tournament reserved for clubs and national teams in the Under-17 Women’s category. After a first gathering held on January 14-15, also in Valdagno (VI), 13 athletes convened, born from 2006 to 2008, the Azzurri led by Massimo Giudice, former coach of the Under 17 Men’s and National Women’s teams, will meet again.
Euro Girls 2023 will be held Feb. 23-26, 2023, in Vordemwald, Switzerland, a town of 5,000 inhabitants located between Bern and Zurich, with strong women’s rink field hockey traditions. The challengers will be the Spanish clubs Palau de Plegamans and Sant Just, and the national teams of Italy, Switzerland, Germany and England.
For Italy, it is an opportunity to continue the project of consolidating a national representative in this category as well, gathering the best girls who are increasingly ploughing the Italian rinks from an early age. In 2021 the first Azzurri participation in the last category tournament organized by World Skate Europe, where Italy ranked fourth, behind Palau, Mataro and Portugal.
