L’Italia femminile batte la Colombia ai World Skate Games 2022
Con la vittoria dell’Italia femminile per 4 a 1 sulla Colombia, le azzurre affronteranno domani il Messico per la finale del 5/6° posto dei World Skate Games 2022, in programma alle 12 locali, le 17 italiane. Le messicane hanno battuto il Canada per 6 a 2. Nel tardo pomeriggio argentino si terranno invece le semifinali. Le finali sono in programma domenica.
In avvio di partita, dopo 33 secondi, Sharon Roccella porta avanti le azzurre. Passano 18 secondi e Susana Pérez commette fallo, permettendo così all’Italia di sfruttare il primo power play della partita. Rebecca Piccinini, al 1:44, segna il raddoppio azzurro. La Colombia al sesto minuto accorcia le distanze con Laura Urrego. Nemmeno un minuto dopo ed è Giovanna Speranza a finire in panca puniti. L’Italia regge l’inferiorità e appena tornata in parità numerica trova la terza rete con la rientrante Giovanna Speranza. Il 3 a 1 resiste fino alla fine del primo periodo, con le azzurre che iniziano il secondo tempo con ancora 24 secondi di inferiorità, per un fallo fischiato a Sara Guazzi.
L’Italia regge al power play colombiano, e le squadre tornano al completo. Le azzurre controllano il risultato e vanno vicine alla rete in diverse occasioni. Al 13esimo della ripresa Natalia Lugo Cerquera finisce in panca puniti. Le azzurre non riescono a sfruttare la superiorità. Nell’ultimo minuto la Colombia toglie la portiera per cercare di riaprire la gara, ma è l’Italia a trovare la quarta rete a porta vuota con Arianna Bisi, quando mancano 30 secondi alla sirena. Finisce 4 a 1.
Italy women beat Colombia at World Skate Games 2022
With Italy women’s skate team’s 4-1 victory over Colombia, the Azzurri will face Mexico tomorrow for the 5/6th place final of the World Skate Games 2022, scheduled for 12 noon local time, 5pm Italian time. The Mexicans beat Canada 6-2. The semifinals will be held in late afternoon in Argentina. The finals are scheduled for Sunday.
At the start of the match, after 33 seconds, Sharon Roccella put the Azzurri ahead. 18 seconds pass and Susana Pérez commits a foul, allowing Italy to take advantage of the first power play of the match. Rebecca Piccinini, at 1:44, scores the Azzurri’s double. Colombia shortened the distance in the sixth minute with Laura Urrego. Not even a minute later and it is Giovanna Speranza who ends up in the penalty box. Italy withstood the inferiority and as soon as it returned to numerical parity it found the third goal with the returning Giovanna Speranza. The 3-1 scoreline held until the end of the first period, with the Italians starting the second half with another 24 seconds of inferiority for a foul on Sara Guazzi.
Italy withstood the Colombian power play, and the teams returned to full strength. The Azzurri controlled the result and came close to scoring on several occasions. At the 13th minute of the second half, Natalia Lugo Cerquera ended up in the penalty box. The Italians failed to exploit the superiority. In the last minute Colombia took the goalkeeper off to try to reopen the contest, but it was Italy who found the fourth goal on an empty goal with Arianna Bisi, when there were 30 seconds left until the siren. It ends 4-1.
