Ai quarti di finale l’Italia batte 4 a 2 la Spagna e vola in semifinale ai World Skate Games 2022. Domani gli azzurri affronteranno, alle 23 italiane, la vincente della sfida tra USA ed Argentina. Le azzurrine invece giocheranno domani, alle 17 italiane, contro il Brasile.
Le due squadre si affrontano fin da subito a viso aperto, ed è la Spagna a portarsi avanti dopo tre minuti. Una penalità fischiata a Thomas Berthod consente agli iberici di giocare in power play. Al 3:58 Miquel Cabalin porta avanti la Spagna. L’Italia prova a cercare il pareggio ma non riesce a segnare. Al 14:31 Guillermo Jiménez finisce in panca puniti e per l’Italia c’è un altro power play. Passano 72 secondi e il “Cobra” Emanuele Ferrari segna la rete del 3 a 2. Pochi istanti dopo e Daniel Gutiérrez Garrido commette fallo. Tobia Vendrame scheggia il palo con una conclusione dalla media distanza. La Spagna esce ancora indenne dall’inferiorità.

Italy beats Spain 4-2 in the quarter-finals and flies to the semifinals of the World Skate Games 2022. Tomorrow the Azzurri will face the winner of the match between the USA and Argentina at 11pm Italian time. The Azzurri, on the other hand, will play against Brazil tomorrow at 5pm Italian time.
The two teams faced off from the outset, and it was Spain that went ahead after three minutes. A penalty whistled at Thomas Berthod allowed the Iberians to play on the power play. At 3:58 Miquel Cabalin put Spain ahead. Italy tried to try and equalise but failed to score. At 7:32 Daniel Diez ends up in the penalty box, and Italy can try to take advantage of the power play. However, 8 seconds pass and Fabrizio Pace commits a foul. The game is played in 3 vs 3. At 8:24 Edu Requena commits a foul: 25 pass and Alessio Lettera, the wizard of Molina, scores the equalizing goal. Italy tried to stretch, but not even with two power plays in their favour, they managed to score. The first half ended, with Italy having 21 seconds of superiority at the start of the second half.
