La partita inizia con le squadre che premono subito sull’acceleratore. Dopo un buon momento iniziale dell’Italia, sono gli americani a fare la partita, ma il risultato resta ancorato sullo 0 a 0. Almeno fino al 15esimo quando Alessio Lettera porta avanti gli azzurri in power play. 1 a 0. Negli ultimi due minuti altro power play per gli azzurri ma l’Italia non trova la rete.
La ripresa si apre con la superiorità numerica per l’Italia ma gli USA reggono e tornano in parità numerica. Davide Dal Sasso trova la rete del 2 a 0. Passano poco più di tre minuti e Nicholas Della Morte accorcia le distanze, firmando il 2 a 1 al quarto minuto. L’Italia cerca la rete, ma il secondo tempo è quasi tutto americano. Gli USA attaccano, ma gli azzurri resistono con cuore e grinta. A tre minuti dalla fine Jaden Guzman finisce in panca puniti. L’Italia decide di non attaccare e tenere il disco, e gli USA tornano in parità. L’ultimo minuto è al cardiopalma: gli americani sfiorano la rete ma il goalie azzurro non fa passare niente. Finisce 2 a 1, l’Italia è in finale.
Italy senior flies into final at World Skate Games 2022
At the end of a balanced match, and open until the last minute, senior Italy flies into the final at the World Skate Games 2022. The Azzurri win 2-1 against the USA and advance to the final. Tomorrow at 11pm Italian time, the challenge against the Czech Republic.
The match starts with the teams immediately pressing on the accelerator. After a good initial moment for Italy, it was the Americans who played the game, but the result remained anchored at 0-0. At least until the 15th minute when Alessio Lettera put the Azzurri ahead on the power play. 1 a 0. In the last two minutes another power play for the Azzurri but Italy did not find the net.
The second half opened with numerical superiority for Italy but the USA held on and returned to numerical parity. Davide Dal Sasso found the 2-0 goal. Little more than three minutes passed and Nicholas Della Morte shortened the distance, signing the 2:1 score in the fourth minute. Italy looked for the net, but the second half was almost all American. The USA attacked, but the Azzurri resisted with heart and grit. Three minutes from the end Jaden Guzman ended up in the penalty box. Italy decided not to attack and keep the puck, and the USA drew level. The last minute was heart-stopping: the Americans came close to scoring but the Italian goalie let nothing go by. It ends 2-1, Italy is in the final.
