Playoff IHL Division 1 2022/23: gara 1 dei Quarti di finale si gioca a Feltre, Pinè, Chiavenna e Torino
Iniziano sabato i Playoff di IHL Division 1 2022/23 con gara 1 dei Quarti di finale che si giocherà a Feltre, Pinè, Chiavenna e Torino. Gara 2 è in programma il prossimo weekend 24/25 febbraio, mentre eventuale gara 3 si giocherà nel weekend 4/5 marzo in casa della meglio classificata. La serie è al meglio delle tre partite: chi ne vincerà due si qualificherà alle semifinali. In semifinale la vincente di Feltre-Fanano affronterà quella tra Torino-Gherdeina, mentre quella tra Pinè-Cadore sfiderà Chiavenna-Milano.
Si parte alle 18 e 30 con la sfida tra HC Feltre, vincitore della Regular Season del Girone Est e del Master Round, ed i Fanano Miners, formazione alla loro prima esperienza in un campionato federale. Prima contro ottava per un match che promette spettacolo. Feltre si presenta all’incontro da imbattuta nella seconda fase, avendo vinto tutti e dieci gli incontri del Master Round. I Miners, che nel corso della stagione si sono rinforzati, arrivano da sette vittorie consecutive nel Qualification Round.
Alle 19 la terza Chiavenna ospita gli Old Boys, che hanno chiuso il Master Round al sesto posto, nel derby lombardo. Quattro gli incontri disputati tra le due compagini nel corso della stagione: tre le vittorie per Chiavenna, di cui due nel Master Round, ed una per gli Old Boys Milano nella prima partita della stagione. Solo uno dei quattro incontri è finito con più di quattro reti di scarto: il 5 a 1 a Chiavenna nella prima fase. Due incontri sono finiti 2 a 0, con una vittoria per parte, l’ultimo dei quali alla settima giornata del Master Round, ed uno 3 a 0 per Chiavenna nel ritorno della prima fase.
Alle 19 e 30 al Pala Tazzoli il Torino affronterà il Gherdeina, per una sfida tra quarta e quinta che promette scintille. Una vittoria a testa nel Master Round coi ladini che si sono imposti per 5 a 2 a Selva mentre il Real ha vinto 4 a 2 al Pala Tazzoli di Torino. I sabaudi si presentano a gara 1 con tre vittorie consecutive, di cui una proprio sul Gardena, mentre le giovani Furie arrivano da due successi di fila.
A Baselga di Pinè, inizio alle 20 e 30, i padroni di casa sfideranno l’HC Cadore. Seconda contro settima, con le due formazioni che si sono affrontate nella prima fase della stagione. Due le vittorie per Pinè: 2 a 1 in casa e 6 a 1 a Pieve di Cadore. Le tigri si presentano dopo la sconfitta col Feltre, che ha bloccato a quattro le vittorie consecutive. Il Cadore invece arriva da due vittorie consecutive, l’ultima ad Aosta.
IHL Division 1 Playoffs 2022/23: Game 1 of the Quarterfinals will be played in Feltre, Pinè, Chiavenna and Torino
The IHL Division 1 2022/23 Playoffs begin Saturday with Game 1 of the Quarterfinals to be played in Feltre, Pinè, Chiavenna and Turin. Game 2 is scheduled for next weekend Feb. 24/25, while eventual Game 3 will be played on the weekend March 4/5 at the home of the best-ranked. The series is best-of-three games: whoever wins two will qualify for the semifinals. In the semifinals, the winner of Feltre-Fanano will face the one between Torino-Gherdeina, while the one between Pinè-Cadore will take on Chiavenna-Milano.
It will start at 6:30 p.m. with the challenge between HC Feltre, winner of the Regular Season in the Eastern Group and the Master Round, and the Fanano Miners, a lineup at their first experience in a federal championship. First versus eighth for a match that promises spectacle. Feltre comes into the match undefeated in the second phase, having won all ten matches in the Master Round. The Miners, who have strengthened over the course of the season, come from seven straight wins in the Qualification Round.
At 7 p.m. Third Chiavenna hosts Old Boys, who finished the Master Round in sixth place, in a Lombardy derby. Four meetings have been played between the two teams during the season: three wins for Chiavenna, including two in the Master Round, and one for Old Boys Milano in the first game of the season. Only one of the four matches ended with more than four goals to spare: the 5 to 1 win for Chiavenna in the first round. Two matches ended 2-0, with one win on each side, the last of them on the seventh day of the Master Round, and one 3-0 to Chiavenna in the return leg of the first phase.
At 7:30 p.m. at Pala Tazzoli, Torino will face Gherdeina, for a challenge between fourth and fifth that promises sparks. One win each in the Master Round with the Ladins winning 5-2 in Selva while Real won 4-2 at Pala Tazzoli in Turin. The Sabaudis come into Game 1 with three consecutive victories, including one right over Gardena, while the young Furies come from two wins in a row.
In Baselga di Pinè, start at 8:30 p.m., the hosts will take on HC Cadore. Second versus seventh, with the two teams having faced each other in the first phase of the season. Two wins for Pinè: 2 to 1 at home and 6 to 1 in Pieve di Cadore. The Tigers come in after a loss to Feltre, which halted their consecutive wins at four. Cadore, on the other hand, comes from two consecutive wins, the last one in Aosta.
