Michael Mazzacane: mastino sul ghiaccio, eroe nella vita
Questa mattina, mercoledì 8 marzo, verso le 11 e 30 circa, Michael Mazzacane, attaccante dell’HCMV Varese Hockey ha salvato la vita ad un 62enne che ha avuto un malore mentre assisteva agli allenamenti del Città di Varese, la squadra locale di calcio. Mazzacane, che si trovava sul posto come consulente medico dello staff biancorosso, ha così segnato il suo gol più bello, salvando la vita all’uomo.
Il 34enne, accortosi che il 62enne si era accasciato a terra, è intervenuto subito. Sentendo che il tifoso biancorosso non aveva più battito gli ha praticato un massaggio cardiaco, salvandoli così la vita. In pochi minuti il 62enne si è ripreso, ed è stato portato in ospedale per accertamenti in ambulanza, chiamata tempestivamente nel mentre Mazzacane stava praticando il massaggio cardiaco.
“Che mattinata, tutto mi sarei aspettato tranne che di dover salvare la vita a una persona. Per fortuna è andato tutto bene, spero che questo tifoso, che ha raccontato di aver sofferto già di problemi cardiaci, possa riprendersi al meglio il prima possibile“. Così ha raccontato Micheal Mazzacane a La Prealpina, quotidiano di Varese.
Michael Mazzacane: hound on the ice, hero in life
This morning, Wednesday 8 March, at around 11.30 a.m., HCMV Varese Hockey forward Michael Mazzacane saved the life of a 62-year-old man who fell ill while attending training at the City of Varese, the local football team. Mazzacane, who was on site as a medical advisor to the red and white staff, thus scored his finest goal, saving the man’s life.
The 34-year-old, realising that the 62-year-old had collapsed to the ground, immediately intervened. Feeling that the red and white fan had no pulse, he gave him heart massage, thus saving his life. In a few minutes the 62-year-old recovered, and was taken to hospital for assessment by ambulance, which was promptly called in while Mazzacane was performing the heart massage.
