Le azzurre di Robert Justus affronteranno, alle 11:15, la vincente di Cile-Corea. A Valencia l’Italia trova così il terzo risultato utile, secondo consecutivo, dopo i pareggi con Corea e Spagna. In mezzo la sconfitta per 2 a 1 contro l’Irlanda.
L’Italia vince 2 a 0 grazie ai gol su azione nel primo e ultimo quarto di Ivanna Pessina (5’) e Lara Oviedo (52’). Un risultato che conferma la condizione e la confidenza in crescendo del roster azzurro, che aveva già affrontato il Sudafrica (pareggiando prima, perdendo poi) al Betero di Valencia, in due test match pre-torneo.
