L’Italia femminile travolge il Brasile ai World Skate Games 2022
Dopo la sconfitta di misura contro il Canada di ieri, l’Italia femminile si rifà e travolge 11 a 1 il Brasile ai World Skate Games 2022, in programma a Buenos Aires e San Juan dal 24 ottobre al 13 novembre. Per la nazionale femminile senior arriva così il primo successo al mondiale.
Le ragazze di Luca Rigoni torneranno in pista domani per un doppio appuntamento: prima Messico-Italia, alle ore 14.30 (19.30 italiane), e poi USA-Italia, alle ore 19 (24 italiane). Il programma hockeistico italiano però continua: oggi alle ore 16 locali, le 21 italiane, l’Italia maschile junior affronterà gli USA nel terzo incontro.
Passano 62 secondi e Manuela Lopes porta avanti il Brasile. La reazione azzurra non si fa attendere e Linda De Rocco, passato poco più di un minuto, trova il pareggio. Nel giro di tre minuti l’Italia ribalta il risultato, segnando due reti ravvicinate prima con Emma Pol e poi con Rebecca Piccinini. 3 a 1 al quinto minuto. Le azzurre premono sull’acceleratore e poco prima di metà periodo Sara Guazzi, al 9:24, cala il poker. Il Brasile chiama il timeout ma tornati in pista è ancora l’Italia ad andare a segno con Rebecca Piccinini. Negli ultimi tre minuti le reti di Veronica Novelli, Giulia Cipriano e Arianna Bisi fissano il primo parziale sul 8 a 1.
Nella ripresa l’Italia, al 3:51 trova la nona rete con Linda De Rocco. Al sesto minuto Veronica Novelli finisce in panca puniti ed il Brasile può provare a sfruttare il primo power play della partita. Le azzurre però ne escono indenni e passato un minuto dalla fine della penalità trovano la decima rete con Arianna Bisi. Al dodicesimo Letizia Barocci finisce in panca puniti: le azzurre in inferiorità numerica commettono ancora fallo con Emma Pol. L’Italia si difende bene prima in doppia inferiorità, e poi negli ultimi 50 secondi di PK. Al 17:36 Rebecca Piccinini firma la rete del 11 a 1.
Women’s Italy defeats Brazil at World Skate Games 2022
After yesterday’s narrow defeat against Canada, Italy women’s team made up for it by defeating Brazil 11-1 at the World Skate Games 2022, scheduled to take place in Buenos Aires and San Juan from 24 October to 13 November. For the senior women’s national team, this is the first success at the World Cup.
Luca Rigoni’s girls will be back on track tomorrow for a double date: first Mexico-Italy, at 2.30 pm (7.30 pm Italian time), and then USA-Italy, at 7 pm (midnight Italian time). The Italian hockey programme, however, continues: today at 4 p.m. local time, 9 p.m. Italian time, the Italian junior men’s team will face the USA in the third match.
Sixty-two seconds passed and Manuela Lopes put Brazil ahead. The Italian reaction was not long in coming and Linda De Rocco, just over a minute later, found the equaliser. Within three minutes Italy overturned the result, scoring two close goals first with Emma Pol and then with Rebecca Piccinini. 3:1 in the fifth minute. The Azzurri pressed on the accelerator and just before half time Sara Guazzi, at 9:24, dropped the poker. Brazil called timeout but back on track it was Italy again to score with Rebecca Piccinini. In the last three minutes, the goals of Veronica Novelli, Giulia Cipriano and Arianna Bisi fixed the first partial at 8:1.
In the second half Italy, at 3:51, found the ninth goal with Linda De Rocco. In the sixth minute Veronica Novelli ended up in the penalty box and Brazil could try to take advantage of the first power play of the match. The Azzurri, however, escaped unscathed and one minute after the end of the penalty shootout found the tenth goal with Arianna Bisi. At the twelfth Letizia Barocci ends up in the penalty box: the Italians in numeric inferiority commit another foul with Emma Pol. Italy defends well first in double inferiority, and then in the last 50 seconds of PK. At 17:36, Rebecca Piccinini scores the goal to make it 11-1.
