L’Italia femminile junior sconfitta dagli USA ai World Skate Games 2022
Nella terza partita dei World Skate Games 2022, in programma a Buenos Aires e San Juan fino al 13 novembre, l’Italia femminile junior viene sconfitta dagli USA, con le americane che trovano il goal vittoria in power play, a pochi secondi dalla fine. Le ragazze torneranno in campo questa sera, alle 20 italiane, contro la Colombia. Domani invece, alle 15 italiane, l’ultima sfida del girone contro la Namibia.
La partita si sblocca al quinto minuto con Payton Sutherland che porta avanti le statunitensi. La partita è ben aperta e le due squadre si affrontano a viso aperto, con entrambe le portiere chiamate spesso in causa. A metà della ripresa l’Italia trova il pari con Gaia Esposito. L’1 a 1 però dura meno di due minuti.
Prima Lily Andreassi porta nuovamente avanti gli USA, ma 55 secondi dopo Gloria Padovan firma il pareggio per le azzurre. 2 a 2. Negli ultimi otto minuti le squadre cercano il goal vittoria, ma nessuna lo trova. A 55 secondi dalla sirena una penalità fischiata a Camilla Riva consente alle statunitensi di giocare in power play. A 7 secondi dalla sirena gli USA segnano il goal vittoria con Lily Andreassi.
Italy women’s junior defeated by USA at World Skate Games 2022
In the third match of the World Skate Games 2022, scheduled to take place in Buenos Aires and San Juan until 13 November, Italy women’s junior was defeated by the USA, with the Americans finding the winning goal on the power play, just seconds from the end. The girls will be back on the pitch tonight, at 8pm Italian time, against Colombia. Tomorrow instead, at 15:00 Italian time, the last challenge of the round against Namibia.
The match was broken open in the fifth minute with Payton Sutherland putting the Americans ahead. The match was wide open and the two teams faced each other with both goalkeepers often called upon. Midway through the second half, Italy equalised through Gaia Esposito. The 1:1, however, lasted less than two minutes.
First Lily Andreassi put the USA ahead again, but 55 seconds later Gloria Padovan scored the equalizer for the Azzurri. 2:2. In the last eight minutes the teams looked for the winning goal, but none found it. With 55 seconds to go to the siren a penalty whistled at Camilla Riva allowed the USA to play on the power play. With 7 seconds left on the clock, the USA scored the winning goal with Lily Andreassi.
