In the only match played this evening of the Alps Hockey League 2022/23, Lustenau overcame Gherdeina 3:1 to reach the ninth place on equal points with Merano. Tomorrow evening, Bregenzerwald hosts Steel Wings Linz while Kitzbühel will face the leading Jesenice.
The result remained unchanged until two seconds before the first siren when Larsen put the hosts ahead. The 1-0 score held until the 30th minute when Haberl doubled the score. Little more than three minutes passed and D’Alvise scored the third. Gherdeina answered 5 minutes later with Messner for the 3 to 1. In the last fraction the furies tried to reopen the match but the result did not change.
